ABOUT ME

Hello!

I'm Sarah–the owner and founder of LUMAÉ Skin and Bodyworks–a day-spa tucked away in Newtonville, MA.

As a licensed massage therapist and aesthetician, with 15+ years of experience, I offer personalized skin care and bodywork treatment to clients, in a serene, oasis-like environment.

Every detail of the space is designed to help clients feel at ease and escape the chaos and noise of everyday life. My hope is that clients leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and renewed–valuing their investment in self care and ready to face the world.

LUMAÉ is more than just a business for me. It’s the culmination of a dream and an opportunity for me to do what I love every day.

The common thread in all that I do–and what truly motivates me–is simple: I love helping people.

MY APPROACH

LISTENING & LEARNING

I spend time getting to know clients–asking and answering questions, understanding needs and concerns, collaborating, and offering guidance on good body and skin care routines.

I am also committed to continuous education and professional development–investing in research and training, staying up-to-date on best-practices, and learning the latest techniques.

My goal is to ensure that clients receive the highest quality and best possible care, that suits their needs.

AESTHETICS & SKIN CARE

As a licensed aesthetician and skin care specialist, I have expanded my skill set and services to include facials, waxing, and skin care services, tailored to the needs of different ages, genders, and skin types.

I am trained in the latest anti-aging techniques, including advanced chemical peels, dermaplaning, and collagen-induction therapy, in addition to brow-mapping and shaping, lash-lifting and tinting, and specialty treatment for acne, rosacea, pigmentation, and scarring.

I have carefully vetted the products I use, selecting clinically-backed, research-based ingredients, designed for optimal results, and free from animal-testing.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

In addition to professional training and being licensed in massage therapy, I spent 8 years working alongside a well-respected doctor of chiropractic care. This mentorship taught me how to work with many different body types, conditions, and ailments and to tailor treatment and techniques to address clients' unique needs.

I take a comprehensive approach to pain relief, stress reduction, and overall wellness.

Combined with attentive listening and strong hands, I focus on providing a relaxing therapeutic environment and the highest quality care.

MIND & BODY

Regular skin care and massage have always been important to me. I also believe in a healthy mind/body balance–taking time to pursue hobbies, explore interests, and exhale.

Outside of work, I spend time with my husband and our two German Shepherds (Logan and Luna), taking walks, playing hockey, and working out.

In addition, I love 'all things food,' visiting with family and friends, enjoying a good meal!
